Recruitment Notice
The Luxembourg Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs, Defence, Development Cooperation and Foreign Trade, through its Directorate for Development Cooperation and Humanitarian Affairs, announces the recruitment of four individuals for fixed-term positions as:
United Nations Volunteers (UNV)
The contract will be for an initial one-year period and may be extended for a further year. UNVs will be recruited according to their educational background, skills and professional experience in the following two categories:
Associate and Specialist
To be eligible, candidates must either be Luxembourg nationals, have resided in Luxembourg for a minimum of five years, or be nationals of one of the following partner countries of Luxembourg’s development cooperation programme: Benin, Cabo Verde, Costa Rica, Laos, Rwanda, or Senegal.
Previous experience in the field of development cooperation is an advantage. Candidates should demonstrate a strong interest in and sensitivity to the social and cultural environments of developing countries, as well as the ability to work as part of a team and to live in a developing country.
Successful candidates will be assigned to one of the following United Nations agencies:
UNDP, UNHCR, UNICEF and UN WOMEN.
